***Do It Your Self***Purpose: Users can improve their touch typing by using a vibrating glove as a training tool. Sew eight vibration motors into the fingers of cycling gloves. Then program the Arduino (an open-source electronics platform) to activate a given motor for a quarter of a second corresponding to each character sent to the microcontroller's serial port. For example, a "1" will make the motor pressing on the left pinkie vibrate, a "2" for the left ring finger, a "3" for the left middle finger, and so forth.

In order to associate the stimulation of the finger with the correct sequence of keystrokes, the user will have to write a program that can run on a laptop, such as the Tkinter, Python's de-facto standard Graphical User Interface package. After presenting a word spelled out on the screen, the program will send the appropriate character to the Arduino so that the corresponding finger will vibrate. As the program is designed, a user can see what he or she is typing. He can advance to another word by pressing a button. A slider is also available if the user wishes to vary the rate at which the program spews out letters.
